Anjani VarmaAnjani was born and raised in the Bay Area, California, by her parents, who migrated from the Fiji Islands. Of Indo-Fijian descent, she is a proud first-generation college graduate. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from San Francisco State University and a Master of Arts in Public Administration with a focus on Public Management and Policy Analysis from California State University, East Bay.

Anjani's career is dedicated to Higher Education, where she strives to help students achieve their academic goals, particularly within the Pacific Islander community. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student Services for Earth & Planetary Sciences at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability.

An active member of NCC-NPIEN since 2015, Anjani became chapter president in 2019, succeeding Dr. Nancy Martinsen, and will continue in that role through 2024.

Fun Facts: Faithful 49ers fan, Best Auntie Ever (so she claims!), loves cats (especially her fur baby Kyber), and is a huge Disney and Star Wars nerd!!!
