Ana Jones was born and raised in Fiji. She attended colleges in the U.S. at the age of 17. Her first encounter with seniors and older adults began 22 years ago by accident or godsend when her application to the School of Public Health at San Jose State got re-directed to the Gerontology program.
She has since worked and volunteered in the senior care industry as a case manager for a home care agency, placement coordinator for assisted living, and as program director for the Live Oak Adult Day Services senior day program in San Jose.
She has always been actively involved in her sons’ education and sat on PTA Boards for the public schools and on the Mother’s Guild at Bellarmine College Prep. She has also been a champion of the sports for her two sons and spent the most part of their youth traveling for gymnastics and ice-hockey games and tournaments. She has also been heavily involved in the community with Aging2.0 technology and research arm for devices and programs for seniors; Silicon Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s planning committee as Logistic event day chair; faith-based and entrepreneur women’s group; fitness & wellness groups as a board and committee member.
Today, Ana is the founder and owner of Phlex65 a technology app that bridges the gap between paid caregivers and seniors & their families in a real-time environment. The idea to build the app is the result of the culminating experience and final research paper for the Master of Arts in Gerontology at San Francisco State University.
